Questions, answered plainly.

If something here is not clear, write to hello@artquil.com or talk to the Artquil team and a person answers.

Getting started

Before your first render.

Do I need footage, a script or a storyboard?

No. A sentence describing what the video should be is enough — Artquil resolves the shots and writes the narration from it. If you already have a script or brand assets you want kept, supply them as part of the prompt.

What do I actually have to write?

What the video is for, roughly how long it runs, and the tone of voice. Everything you leave out becomes a decision Artquil makes and then shows you, rather than a form field you have to complete first.

Can I see the script before it renders?

Yes, and you should. A narration script and shot list come back before compute is spent, so disagreeing is free at the point where it costs nothing.

What if I do not want narration at all?

Ask for score only. Plenty of video works better without a voice — an ambient piece, a title sequence, a looping background film.

The output

What you get, and where it runs.

What does “synchronized audio” actually mean?

Voiceover, background music and sound effects are generated against the same timeline as the picture, in the same pass, and returned mixed. You get a finished video rather than a silent clip plus a folder of stems.

What formats and ratios come back?

A 1080p MP4 master plus reframes for 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, with the subject kept inside the safe area of each. The narration script is returned as timecoded text alongside.

How long does one render take?

It depends on length, ratio and how busy the queue is. A short piece is typically a matter of minutes rather than hours — but we would rather quote you against your actual brief than publish a number that turns out to be wrong for your case.

Can I change something after the render?

Yes. Edit the sentence and re-render. Because the prompt drives the whole pipeline, changing the tone or the length is a re-run rather than a return to an edit suite.

The practical stuff

Ownership, data and access.

Who owns what comes out?

You do. What you render is yours to publish, edit and use commercially. What you put in stays yours as well — see the privacy policy for what we hold and for how long.

Is my prompt used to train your models?

Not without asking you first. If that ever changes it will be an explicit opt-in, disclosed on this site before it takes effect, not a line quietly added to a policy.

What does it cost?

Pricing is being set against real usage rather than guessed at in advance. Tell us the kind of video and roughly how much of it you need, and we will come back with a straight answer — hello@artquil.com.

Is the platform available now?

Artquil is in active development and is onboarding early teams. Get in touch with your use case and volume, and we will tell you honestly where you fit in the queue.

Still deciding?

The fastest way to find out is to send us the video you keep postponing.
