01Who we are

Artquil Private Limited is a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at 23 MIG Flats, Shiv Shakti Colony, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. We operate the Artquil prompt-to-video platform.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. You can reach us at hello@artquil.com.

02Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive these from Google; we never receive or store your Google password.
  • Authentication data — if you register with an email and password, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your password. We cannot read your password.
  • Prompts and generated content — the text prompts you submit, the settings you choose, and the videos, audio and images our models produce for you.
  • Usage and billing records — plan, credit balance and consumption, render history, and invoices.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps, collected in server logs for security and debugging.

03What we do not collect

We do not collect or store your card number, CVV or bank credentials. Payments are processed by our payment gateway, which handles card data directly under its own PCI-DSS compliance.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

04Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
  • To generate the videos you request, and to deliver and store the results for you.
  • To meter credits, process subscriptions, and issue invoices.
  • To detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To provide support when you contact us, and to send service notices such as password resets and billing confirmations.
  • To improve reliability and performance of the platform.

05Your content and our models

Your prompts and generated outputs belong to you, on the terms set out in our Terms of Service.

We do not use your prompts or your generated videos to train our models without your explicit, separate consent. If we ever introduce an opt-in programme for this, it will be clearly presented as a choice and will not be enabled by default.

We may review content where we have a good-faith reason to investigate a suspected violation of our Terms of Service, or where we are legally required to do so.

06Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the platform, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting, GPU inference, and file storage.
  • Our authentication and database provider — account records and sign-in.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Our payment gateway — to take payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Email delivery providers — to send transactional email such as password resets.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority, and where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

07Where your data is stored

Our infrastructure runs on cloud regions that may be located outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we rely on our providers’ contractual safeguards and apply the same protections described in this policy.

08How long we keep it

  • Account records — for as long as your account is open.
  • Generated videos and prompts — until you delete them, or until your account is closed.
  • Billing and invoice records — retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law, typically eight years.
  • Server and security logs — a rolling short-term window, ordinarily no more than twelve months.

When you delete your account we remove your personal data and generated content within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records. Backups are purged on their normal rotation.

09Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed password storage, scoped access controls, and access logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach as required by law.

10Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Have your data erased, subject to our legal retention duties.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.

To exercise any of these, email hello@artquil.com. We will respond within 30 days.

11Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.

12Children

Artquil is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you by email or through the platform before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
